This post is dedicated to my Eugene cousin, because she recently asked me why I bothered making plans.
Air Traffic Control issues yesterday at my connecting airport caused my flight to be canceled. After last time flying through Amsterdam and getting stuck for the day without any Euros, I got myself a Revolut card. Not insured like a bank, but you can load it with dollars and it’ll work fee-free in most worldwide ATMs and be used as a Visa card in whichever currency is appropriate. My converter was packed in my suitcase, so I needed to buy one last night or have dead devices. Also handy for coffee this morning.
Also, I realized I wasn’t in Kansas anymore when I automatically received a voucher for shuttle to the hotel (also vouchered) that included vouchered lunch and dinner, and a €15 voucher for airport use. Thank you KLM. The Radisson Blu was really nice and the food was great for hotel food. View from my room and food pics below.

Must come back here intentionally. And spend more than one night at an airport hotel. Off to Leeds now.
